On February 25, 2025, Professor Martin de Jong, Scientific Director of the Erasmus Initiative “Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity” at Erasmus University Rotterdam, along with Ms. Anne Hofmann, and Associate Professor Wenting Ma of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), visited the Institute of Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University. Professor Yijia Jing, Dean of IGPP, welcomed the delegation.

During the meeting, Dean Jing presented Professor de Jong with his reappointment certificate as an Adjunct Professor at IGPP. Professor de Jong focuses his research on urban and infrastructure development, city branding, and inclusive prosperity. He has previously served as the “Fudan Chair Professor” and has been selected for the National Foreign Experts Program and the Shanghai Thousand Talents Plan. He currently serves as the editor of the “Global Frontiers” column in the international journal Global Public Policy and Governance.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in a discussion with IGPP students on the Erasmus University Rotterdam exchange program. Professor de Jong and Ms. Hofmann introduced the university and its institute, providing an overview of the student exchange program. Associate Professor Ma and exchanged students shared their experiences at Erasmus University Rotterdam. The discussion covered key topics such as the application process, course selection, and credit transfer.
