THE SPEAKER

Tamar Gutner is a Professor at American University’s School of International Service (SIS) in Washington DC. She is the author of books and articles on international organizations, with an emphasis on international financial institutions, their performance and role in global governance. She has worked as a visiting fellow and consultant for international financial institutions, including the World Bank, IMF, and Asian Development Bank. Prior to becoming an academic, she was a financial journalist in New York and London.

ABSTRACT

Prof. Tamar Gutner will speak and engage in Q and A discussion on International Organizations (“IOs”) (such as the UN and its many components), and their capacity to address the challenges of the 2021 world.
